These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TaskBit at app.taskbit.me and related services (the "Service"), operated by TaskBit ("we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
TaskBit is a collaborative checklist platform for groups. The Service includes:
You sign in with Google via Firebase Authentication. You must provide accurate profile information and keep your Google account secure. We receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google as described in our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 13 years old to use TaskBit. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or guardian.
You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@taskbit.me if you suspect unauthorized access.
You agree not to:
You retain ownership of lists, tasks, comments, and other content you create ("User Content"). We do not claim ownership of your User Content.
You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, store, back up, display, and process User Content solely to provide, secure, and improve the Service — including AI features you enable and collaboration with users you invite.
TaskBit offers free and paid Pro plans. Pro includes additional features such as AI usage allowances. Prices and features are shown at checkout and may change with notice.
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Taxes may apply based on your location.
You may cancel anytime in Settings → Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis; contact hello@taskbit.me within 14 days of your first Pro purchase if you believe you are entitled to a refund.
AI features use third-party models to interpret your prompts and list context. Suggestions may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it.
AI memory, behavioral learning, and collective intelligence are optional and controlled in Settings → AI & Memory. See our Privacy Policy for how these settings affect data use.
TaskBit and its branding, software, and documentation are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or code except as needed to use the Service.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TASKBIT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will survive.
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised Terms with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in courts located in Delaware, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law.
