Privacy Policy

Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how TaskBit ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use app.taskbit.me and related services.
We build collaborative checklists for groups. We minimize data collection to what is needed to run the product securely.
Information We Collect
Account information (Google Sign-In)
When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identifier, email address, display name, and profile photo via Firebase Authentication. We do not receive or store your Google password.
Content you create
We store checklists, tasks, sections, comments, workspace names, invitations, and settings you create in the Service. Content you share with collaborators is visible to those users according to your permissions.
Usage and device data
We collect technical logs such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and actions in the app (e.g., feature usage) to secure the Service, fix bugs, and understand product performance.
Payment information
If you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes your payment card and billing details. We receive subscription status, customer ID, and billing metadata — not full card numbers.
Communications
If you enable email notifications, we send transactional emails (invites, assignments, comments) via our email provider. You can control notification preferences in Settings.
How We Use Information

AI, Memory, and Learning
When you use AI features, we send your prompts and relevant list context to Google Gemini to generate responses. We do not use your private list content to train public foundation models.
If you enable Personal memory, TaskBit may store preference snippets derived from your AI interactions. If you enable Behavioral learning, we record how you edit AI suggestions to improve future recommendations for you.
If you opt in to Collective intelligence, anonymized usage patterns may be aggregated to improve template and task hints for all users. You can disable any of these in Settings → AI & Memory.
Security and Retention
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and industry-standard practices to protect data. No system is 100% secure.
We retain your data while your account is active. You may request deletion by contacting privacy@taskbit.me. Backups may persist for a limited period after deletion.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location (including the EEA, UK, and California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact privacy@taskbit.me to exercise these rights.

Children's Privacy
TaskBit is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact privacy@taskbit.me if you believe a child has provided us data.
International Transfers
We may process data in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We take steps to protect data transferred internationally as required by applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will revise the "Last updated" date and notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice.
